We are smack in the middle of our Spring Break/Winter Tours season… which begins for us at the end of February with Fur Rondy and Iditarod happenings in Anchorage. In Talkeetna we just had the Trio Fat Tire Bike Race (about 200 folks) and next up is the Oosik Ski Event (over 700 typically). We see a number of winter tour groups come through and it gives us a chance to seat them at big Family Style Breakfasts and give them a short talk about the history of the roadhouse and the general area. This we love! The picture with this note is a quick shot of our griddle this morning as we prepared to feed about 30 visitors in one group. Yes, the hotcakes are indeed smaller. And we make A LOT of them!
