Brrrrr…… -20 this morning when I took this picture of the ice on the INSIDE glass on our front retail shelf (it is an original window, single paned etc). The front porch twinkly lights are shining through behind. But don’t worry, it’s still cozy warm closer to the stove and ovens. And hot coffee always tastes better when you are both drinking it AND warming your hands with the mug.
Today marks the beginning of the school session and many of you – except, of course, for those on extended government break – are heading back to work. It’s the second week of the month and that means a ton of meetings happen in and around Talkeetna. If your schedule is unexpectedly open, this might be your week to become even more involved in your community! I’m including the Daily, Weekly etc. listings that gets inserted into the printed version of these… mostly because I hardly ever get to write “Government Shutdown” next to the Ranger Station entry.
