The best part about living in the North is that every now and then you run into Santa at the grocery store!!! He was there stocking up on snacks for his big trip out on his sleigh tonight. Go Santa! If you are sticking around these parts – or find yourself in Talkeetna looking for some cheer (and some food or a room) – please know that the Roadhouse is open through the holidays. Tonight is our annual Christmas Eve Potluck beginning around 5pm. “Bring a casserole, a carol or just some cheer…” And we’ll be open for breakfast Christmas day beginning at 8am. We know there is not much open on Christmas Day. If you find yourself lonely or hungry, there’s someone here through the evening and can set you up with basic eats so you don’t waste away. Hohoho!
