It’s that last school week before Christmas and the holiday break! We dabble a bit in work and keep putting up more christmas lights, building more gingerbread houses and we get ready for a Roadhouse-full of guests who are making Talkeetna their holiday destination.
Tomorrow is our Great Bake-n-Take Cookies Exchange… an idea my mother gave me over twenty years ago. Its’ a fun and fitting way to share our running water, massive oven space and all those sheet pans and wire racks with folks whose small cabin life kitchens make holiday cookie baking a bit of a tight squeeze. We’ll begin the production at 3pm and everyone leaves with boxes of goodies!
