Summary Duties and Responsibilities
- Be at work on time and prepared to work.
- Prepare all soups, sauces, salsas, bakery prep items and
general prep items for the lunch and breakfast line.
- Maintain the pantry, walk in and freezer spaces so all items
are rotated, organized and well labeled.
- Bake off cookies and various quick bakery items.
- At the end of each shift fill out the Prep and Needs
List.
- Follow Prep Cleaning Schedule.
- Coordinate checking in and storage of food items as they
arrive including the rotation of stock.
- At the first of every month complete the Food Inventory
Sheet.
- Should there ever be an issue with scheduling, co-workers or
other elements that may affect your ability to fulfill the job
requirements it is your duty and responsibility to approach the
management so that these issues may be resolved.
Job Requirements
- Previous kitchen experience required.
- At least 18 years old.
- Self-motivated willingness to look for work and complete them.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to twist, bend, reach and move work tables, equipment
and other items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to follow and support Roadhouse policy
- Ability to answer questions about the Talkeetna / Denali area
- Ability to work on a flexible schedule according to the
requirements of the season
- Ability to be courteous and friendly to the guests as well as
co-workers
- Ability to listen to and follow directions
Physical Work Environment and Conditions
- Periodically busy atmosphere where it may be difficult to take
breaks.
- Hot working conditions near the grill.
Tools of the Trade
- Southbend grill, burners and oven, Wolf stock pot range, two
well soup burner, microwave, two brick ovens, knives slicers, hot
pots, sandwich table, mixer, cuisineart, various cleaning agents
including Sitra Clean and Bleach.
