Breaks
|
With the nature of our business being service
oriented, breaks unbroken are not always a possibility. Staff
working full shifts have a half hour off the clock meal break and
two other breaks of fifteen minutes each on the clock. Please
communicate with coworkers when taking a break and please refrain
from taking breaks during peak operating periods. |

Performance Reviews
|
All employees of the Roadhouse shall receive a
performance review after two weeks of beginning their contract.
During this review specific questions and issues relating to the
job description and the performance of shall be addressed. After
six weeks, another review will occur to address these issues
again. Positive reviews may affect pay rate to reflect the
employees skills and contributions. |

Sick Time or Vacation Time
|
In cases of illness, employees must notify the
Cashier on Duty of the inability to work a shift as soon as
possible. Employees will not be paid for days missed due to
illness. Any adjustments to scheduling not related or caused by
illness must be approved by the management. |

Appearance
|
Staff are encouraged to wear the basic Roadhouse
uniform which is comprised of:

| Blue Jeans. Jeans must not be overly faded, dirty or with
holes. |
When you arrive for your shift you will select a Tee Shift from
the stack of clean Employee Tee Shirts. When your shift is over
this Tee Shirt is to be returned and deposited in the Laundry Room
hamper for cleaning. At the end of the working season employees
may purchase Talkeetna Roadhouse Tee Shirts at discount. All Food
Service employees are required to observe the following:
- Skirts if worn, must cover legs to at least three inches
above the knee.
- If your armpits are hairy, shirts with sleeves must cover
these areas.
- Shoes must have closed toes. Shoes must also be clean and
free of rips and tears. Clogs are acceptable.
- Long hair on men or women must be restrained
The kitchen is visible to our guests and therefore it is
especially important that all employees are aware of their
personal hygiene. Avoid touching your hair or face then handling
food without washing your hands first. It is vital to keep
personal hygiene and food safety standards high to prevent
personal illness. |
