Statement
- The Roadhouse will strive to provide all guests, locals as well
as travelers, the same quality service that defines a Roadhouse as a
home away from home, with clean rooms, friendly staff, fair prices
and food made from scratch daily.
- The Roadhouse will strive to treat the staff, visitors and
community with respect and will operate with integrity so as to be
deserving of the same.
- The Roadhouse will strive to provide meaningful work, fair
compensation and a safe and healthy work environment that encourages
openness, creativity, self-discipline and growth.
- The Roadhouse will strive to serve the community in these ways:
- Attend regularly scheduled Community Council Meetings
- Reduce its use of non-recyclable materials and recycle as much
as possible
- Provide facilities to promote recycling
- Support community radio, KTNA through underwriting and
donations
- Provide a space free of charge for presentations and other
community events
- Preserve the history of the Roadhouse by educating the staff
orally and by urging them to:
- Read Roberta Sheldon's The Heritage of Talkeetna
- Take the Walking Tour of Talkeetna
- Visit the Historical Museum
- Keep the various Roadhouse Buildings in good repair
- The Roadhouse will stive to be a profitable and successful
company while acting in a socially and environmentally responsible
manner.
